Warren Upham – Addie Bixby
1 Cabinet Card Photo of Warren Upham and 1 Cabinet Card Photo of Addie Bixby (Warren’s wife) by female photographer Mrs. C. J. Clough (also known as Mrs Cynthia J Clough, Mrs. Benjamin Clough) of West Somerville Massachusetts.
Both cards have some chipping along the bottom edge and foxing spots. Warren’s card is showing some wrinkling, and more tanning than Addie’s card.
Scratches/scrapes most of which can only be seen while viewing photo at an angle to the light.
Warren Upham was born on March 8, 1850 in New Hampshire, USA to Jacob Upham and Sarah Hayward.
According to Wikipedia, Warren was a geologist, archaeologist, and librarian who is best known for his studies of glacial Lake Agassiz.
Warren Upham worked as a geologist in New Hampshire before moving in 1879 to Minnesota to study the resources and glacial geology of that state.
Warren married Addie Bixby in 1885.
Warren and Addie only child was a baby girl named Pearl who died in the year she was born 1887.
Warren Upham died in 1934 at the age of 84.
The back of the cards have their names, the date and their address (36 Newberry St.) in Somerville, Massachusetts USA.
Cabinet cards measures about 4 1/4” x 6 1/2”.
